Newbie/Elder Geek Question (by DaLarry)

There is probably a simple answer to this question but I haven't stumbled onto it yet. I have a Juli@ card installed in a computer I'm configuring as a home media server. For the last several years I've been playing it through my vintage but wonderful vacuum tube system. Now, in addition to my vintage rig, I would like to have it play through my Yamaha 5.1 home theater system as well. The card is configured in unbalanced mode and the RCA jack outputs go to my vintage system. No problem there; wonderful and very musical sound. In addition to driving my vintage system, I want the Yammie to be driven at the same time by the digital optical link in the card. In fact, I've got a toslink optical digital cable running from the Juli@ to an optical input on the yammie. Unfortunately, I get no sound. My computer is a P4 3.06Ghz with 4GB of memory and about 2.5TB of storage online. Any help would be appreciated.

I am having some serious problems, when trying to synchronize this two PCI-e Interfaces (Maya44 & ESP1010e).
I need to synchronize them in order to use all together 12 channels of both Interfaces (4 Channels of Maya44 & 8 Channels of ESP1010e).
Actually I'm using NUENDO 3.2, and on the SETUP CONFIGURATION Step, I have to perform the Synchronization Test. Obviously it can't be performed, because it looses the synchronization more than 8 times during this test.
Of course, if I increase the Buffer, the synchronization errors increases too.
Please let me know what am I doing wrong or which are the steps to follow in order to synchronize successfully.

Quatafire 610 panel trouble.. MAC (by rolforo)

I have a Quatafire 610 wich I normally use on an IBM. And it works very well.
Now I am going to work on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5.7.
I have downloaded the panel-file (QuataFire_610-Mac-v1_0.sit) and copied to the harddisk. When I try to open it by double clicking on the file, it just opes a textfile with a lot of strange letters and signs..
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? It should be easy? Or?
