I just bought prodigy 7.1 hifi and I can't figure out why are the drivers so buggy
I'm using 8 channels analog output with asio input/output
First I tried getting it to work on XP 32Bit After a lot of messing and drivers installation I got 1.02 to work
It works almost perfectly - 8 channel output , asio support , directwire But - Something is messed up with the windows mixer master volume control 0% is not 0% ( there is still music being heard ) 100% is not 100% ( not loud enough )
Luckily the wave line works properly , So I can use it but I would still love to have master volume control line working properly ( for KS usage and stuff that don't go through directsound )
So , I installed WIN 7 32Bit which I thought would be better but its just made it worse! 1.07 , 1.08 - Can't output 8 channels , Windows mixer volume line very very very buggy , doesn't seperate Left/Right - Basically just not working propperly 1.02 - Useless
0.978 ( With 1.02 installed previously as described in other threads here ) - 8 channel output works ok , Left/Right seperation is good , Master volume control is working properly
But - No ASIO support?
So Please AUDIOTRAK , Can you release one good driver for this card?
I would love to have at least one of two things : 1.WINDOWS XP - Windows Mixer Master Volume Control Line , With Kernel Streaming Support - Based on Ver 1.02 2.WINDOWS 7 - ASIO support - Based on ver 0.978
I really don't understand why we have so much drivers for this card , And nothing works well enough :
This is a really good sounding card , I would just like to have it work the best it can..
Thanks in advance , Gutz |
