Prodigy 7.1HiFi: Only Front CHANNELS Works OK!
written by MatT_811 (User) | 02/03/2010 | 16:45 Hits: 743
Hi to everyone!

Yesterday I purchase an AudiotraK PRODIGY 7.1 HIFI.
Front Channel Sound Great BUT I can't hear anything from the other channel! Even Center & Sourround Channel won't Work.

Speaker TEST on the Other channel won't Sound Anything.
Cyberlink PowerDVD on 5.1 FILM Won't sound anything.

I set up 5.1 Channel Speaker on PowerDVD and on Windows Control Panel.
Only After a very long time when I Try some of Everything, I click on the ESI Control Panel "MClock" from INT to EXT and another time to INT, and the Center Channel start sound OK! But After I Touch "VOLUME" and it won't Sound Anymore!

Today I reinstall Latest Driver v1.08 But that does not Fix the problem!

Please Help me,
I wanna know if my Soundcard is Broken or if is a Driver problem!

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM.

THE PROBLEM IS THE LATEST DRIVER v1.08 !
This new Driver Make my Prodigy 7.1 card like a Stereo 2.0 Card. The Other Channel won't Work with this 1.08 Driver
(I'm on WINDOWS XP 32 bit)

Unistall this Driver with the Audiotrak Uninstall Utility, Reboot, and after Install the Old 1.02 Driver.

Now I can Hear all Channel perfectly.

I also have to say that the new 1.08 Driver does not have utilities like "Speaker Test" and Q Sound and many more...
The latest Driver only have the Essential on Control Panel, While the Old 1.02 Driver Have many more Utility.

I thought the latest drivers are only for Vista/Win7 and
not for XP. At least that is in the description here on the
site.
