Re: Things to try when dealing with sound distortion
written by akerman (Guest) | 01/08/2005 | 00:14 Hits: 456
I've got an nForce2 motherboard (MSI K7N2 Delta-L) and a USB keyboard - I also haven't overclocked, I've got xp + sp2 installed, no spyware or vira afaik.

The weird thing is the sound is fine ... for a while - then the pops and cracks start coming slowly, then more frequently, and finally it's unbearable. If I then stop all audio for like 15 minutes, things will be fine again. This leads me to believe that there is a problem with the card itself - maybe something on it overheats? But then again, if it was a hardware problem, then why is there a major difference between using 1006 and 1005 drivers... hmm.
